We are proud of our Under 15 cricket team, who have returned safely from India. Although unable to win any of their matches, the boys gave an excellent account of themselves and could have won at least three of the six matches.
In June 2004 a vision for a new, high quality independent school in the south of Johannesburg was born, for three main reasons:
Starting a school, however, is no quick or easy task (especially when the person tasked with the job is both young and virtually penniless), and it took the next 18 months to locate a suitable piece of land and to find investors willing to take on such a massive project. By early 2006, after many difficulties, much frustration and more than a few mini-disasters, God had provided both investors who had a heart for the children in the area, and a beautiful 18 hectare property on the banks of the Klip River.
We opened in January 2007 with 120 learners from Grade 0 to Grade 8, which by 2008 had risen to 350 learners from Grade 00 to Grade 9. The school has developed from an old farmhouse and some classrooms to a fully fledged school, which by January 2010 had 64 classrooms, an auditorium, a 680-seater hall, Admin Block, computer laboratories, Technology Centre, four fields, six tennis/netball courts, therapy rooms and a 1200-seat amphitheatre.
We are very proud of our school, yet we continue to remember that it is not ours, but God's.
Soli Deo Gloria
