We are still looking to fill two staff positions for 2011.
1.  An experienced Science Teacher in the Senior Phase, Grades 10 to 12.
2.  A History Teacher in the Senior Phase, Grades 10 to 12.

Waterstone School of Arts launches

The Watersone Music staff have launched the first of what will become many offerings, with Piano, Voice Training and Recorder lessons now available in the afternoons. The College has also now started its choir and Marimba Band, and we look forward to all the new activities that Mr Matthews and his staff will be initiating!

Major Production 2010: The Sound of Music

Our first Major Production, the Sound of Music, a classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, was held at the end of the second term. The production was a great success - thanks to all the cast andf staff involved for doing a tremendous job!

High Performance Centre and FIFA Mexican Training Fields complete

Our new High Performance Centre is complete! The HPC includes a sports hall, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, change rooms, a dance studio and physio rooms. It will be used for cricket, hockey and soccer - we are exceptionally excited about the new facility, the only facility of its kind in the south of Johannesburg.  

Our new fields are also now complete - including an international standard playing field, complete with floodlights, underground drainage and computerised irrigation! <!--break-->

Touring Squads to Argentina Confirmed

We are proud to confirm our sports tour of Argentina, to take place in October 2010. The Prep School's First Soccer Team, as well as the High School's Hockey and Netball teams, will be spending ten days in the South American country - sure to be an incredible experience for all concerned!

Athletics Results

Congratulations to our athletes, who performed phenomenally well at the SACSSA National Championsips at King's Park, Durban, on the 18th and 19th of September. No less than 40 athletes qualified for Nationals, and our school secured no less than 19 medals, in both track and field events.

 

Bronze medals were won by Dylan Stark, Jarrod Esson, Sage Bannister (2), Kaylin Krupke (2), Daniella Seabra, Genarize Du Plessis, Jordan Sutherland, Darrel Long, James Elliot, Anton Van Dam and Savanna Knight. Silver medals were won by Ricardo Vasapolli, Keegan Moody and Tristan Wallace, and 3 gold medals by Anton Van Dam, Sage Bannister and Tayla Voget. Well done to all involved!
