Cogratulations to our sports stars who did fantastically well in Argentina! The Prep School soccer boys won three and drew one of their five games, ending with an exceptional 6-0 win over St Martins club, while the netballers won every game, and showed great skill. The hockey team found the going tough, but performed very creditably, including a win over a club side. Well done, boys and girls - a experience and memory to treasure for many years!
Soccer
Soccer is a second term sport at Waterstone College, at both Prep School and High School levels, and we place a great deal of emphasis on skills development, fitness and talent identification. In October 2010 our Prep School First Team toured Argentina and performed exceptionally, winning 3, drawing one and losing one match.
With the opening of the Sports Academy in 2011, the College's soccer is sure to grow from strength to strength. In 2009 the Under 14 side won their league, and in 2010 both the U14 and U15 sides finished at the top.
Girls Soccer was introduced for the first time in 2008, is also a very popular option!
