Waterstone College's 1st Cricket and Tennis teams enjoyed a hugely successful tour of England during the July holidays, with both teams playing excellently against some of the top schools in England.
Anton van Dam was the standout cricketer, with 370 runs at an average of 53, including a century and three 50s, while Jarred Lachenicht took 16 wickets in the 7 games. The tennis team all did exceptionally well, winning six of their seven games.

A Unique Cricket and Football Academy
The Waterstone College Sport Academy opened in January 2011, and has already seen great success in the selection of players to district and provincial teams.
Budding young cricketers and soccer players from Grade 8 up choose either to board or to attend as day scholars, and attend training sessions twice a day in addition to their school sports. Using the College’s state of the art facilities, including gymnasium, indoor sports hall, FIFA standard fields, and dance studio, the boys receive the best possible training in their chosen sport. Coaches are all highly qualified and have an excellent rapport with the learners, who get trained in sport-specific skills, mental strength and in physical fitness and strength.
